Privacy Policy

01Introduction

Welcome to D-TACH ("we," "our," "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. Our business model is selling physical tools, not user data.

02Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

When you purchase a D-TACH puck, we collect personal information necessary to fulfill your order, such as your full name, shipping address, email address, and payment information. All payments are processed by Stripe, our secure third-party payment processor.

B. App Usage Data

When you use the D-TACH mobile application, usage data (screen time stats, block duration) is stored locally on your device. We do not upload your personal activity logs to the cloud. We may collect anonymous, aggregated crash reports to fix bugs, but this data cannot be linked back to you personally.

03Newsletter, Discounts & Local Storage

If you choose to join the D-TACH newsletter and claim a one-time discount, we use your email address to generate a unique promotion code via Stripe. We store that code and a simple "popup seen" flag in your browser's local storage so that:

  • we can show prices that already include your 10% discount while the code is still valid; and
  • we avoid repeatedly showing you the same signup popup.

This local storage is first-party and strictly limited to this discount feature. It is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or analytics. Where UK/EU law requires consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we will only use them once you have given your permission. Essential storage that is required to deliver a feature you actively requested (such as remembering your discount code) may be used on the basis of our legitimate interests and your request for that feature.

04How We Use Your Information

  • To Fulfill Orders: Processing payments, shipping your device, and sending tracking updates.
  • Communication: Responding to support tickets or notifying you of shipping delays.
  • Product Improvement: Using anonymous aggregate data to understand which features are most valuable.

05Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We share data only with essential trusted partners required to run our business:

Stripe (Payments)Royal Mail / Couriers (Shipping)Vercel (Hosting)

06Security, UK/EU Rights & US Visitors

We implement industry-standard encryption (SSL) for our store. Since we minimize the data we collect, your risk is inherently lower.

If you are based in the UK or EU, you have rights under data protection law, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal order data, and to object to certain types of processing. If you are based in the US, we apply the same practical safeguards even where the law is less prescriptive. Simply email our support team to initiate any privacy-related request.
